Description

Bird of the Hand Farm is a certified organic apple orchard and perennial nursery. The orchard is three acres of apple trees and has about 20 varieties of apples. The majority of the apples tree varieties are Cortlands, Delicious and MacIntosh. There are 15 other varieties and include a mix of heirloom and moderns, such as Criterion, Red Rome, Braeburn and Granny Smith. The apples are grown organically and we are certified organic through Baystate Organic Certifiers. The apples are available at our farm stand from late August until November. We press cider periodically and have raw organic cider for sale. We also make apple jelly and applesauce.

Bird of the Hand Farm also grows organically certified perennials, specializing in native perennials and herbs. Bird of the Hand will grow plants on request.

Apple availability can be checked by calling 978-422-6217 or by checking our weekly updates on our website.
