Description

We are a nonprofit community farm located on the historic Angino farmstead in Newton. We strive to benefit the community by

  • Providing locally-grown produce through our CSA, our farm stand, and Newton Farmers' Markets
  • Educating the public about the sustainable use of land and other natural resources through hands-on classes, workshops, and drop-in farm hours
  • Preserving Newton's last working farm as a historic site and valuable open space
  • Connecting gardening enthusiasts through events and networking opportunities

A portion of the food grown on site is donated to people in need through the Newton Food Pantry.

CSA

We have a 78-member CSA that runs about 20-weeks, from early June through October. Weekly shares cost $570 plus 12 hours of labor during the season. Alternate week shares cost $300 plus six hours of labor. All CSA members must belong to our Friends of the Farm program. CSA members pick up their produce at the farm Wednesdays and Thursdays, 2 to 7 p.m.

Farmers' Market

  • California Street Farmers' Market, at the American Legion Post 440 in Newton, Fridays 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., from July 4 through Halloween.

Farm Stand

Our Farm Stand, located on Winchester Street, is open Tuesday through Friday 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The farm stand season begins in mid-May and runs through Thanksgiving.

Pick Your Own

We offer PYO cherry tomatoes, beans, peas, herbs, and raspberries.
