Description

Astarte Farm is a certified organic family farm located in Hadley. We specialize in heirloom tomatoes (both plants and fruit), unusual lettuce types, sweet corn, broccoli, carrots, potatoes and 10 varieties of heirloom garlic. We pick all of our varieties for superior taste, source organic seed whenever possible, and even grow a few outstanding hybrids.

Because we are small and highly diversified, we pick daily to fill our orders and Astarte's produce is the freshest you can get this side of your own garden. Our production methods are labor intensive, and an active, part-time crew supplements the minimal tillage methods we employ. At any given time, at least half of our five-acre field is fallow, flowering or under cover crops. The result of this type of management is a vibrant mix of soil biota, earthworms, bugs and birds. We know you can taste the difference!
